Tsamakia
Just a few minutes from the center of Mytilene, ‘Tsamakia’ stretches beneath the homonymous grove and the Medieval Castle of Mytilene, next to the unique Statue of Liberty, offering the rare experience of an organized beach within the city. The sand meets the calm, gentle waters, while the free umbrellas and sun loungers create a sense of comfort by the sea.
It is the place where locals gather for a swim, coffee or food, from the morning until the cool summer evenings, by the sea.

A wonderful walking route awaits you, continuing on foot around the Castle with a view of the sea and the Asia Minor coast, which ends at the northern, ancient port of Epano Skala, from where the city’s central market begins.
A stone path connects the beach with the port, naturally and effortlessly, inviting visitors to walk on a route where the sea will meet the rhythm of daily life, through the Koulbara area with its picturesque neighborhoods, traditional houses and musky courtyards.
Chrysi Ammos
At the southern tip of the island, Chrysi Ammos hides like a secret revealed only to those willing to follow the dirt road that leads there. The beach lives up to its name: the sand is truly golden, fine and soft, while the waters take on a translucent turquoise hue that evokes tropical landscapes. The absence of organization keeps it away from crowds, preserving its authentic and untouched character.
